Merry Christmas to All

Well here it is, only 2 days away from Christmas. Where has this year gone?? It seems like it was yesterday that I was wishing Chris would hurry up and get here so I wouldn't have to be fat and miserable anymore and now is is almost 10 months old! He has reached SOOOO many milestones since the last time I have blogged! He just started doing EVERYTHING all at one time!! To begin with he is sprouting teeth left and right...LITERALLY! He just cut his 2 front upper teeth about 3 weeks ago and he cut his 3rd bottom tooth on the left side about 2 weeks ago. You can also tell that the gums are really swollen on his 3rd and 4th upper front teeth and on his lower 4th on the right side! I know these 3 will appear in the next few weeks! With these new teeth he is eating more and more solids. He is now eating Cheerios, cheese toast, cheese slices, Gerber puffs, and Cheetos Puffs. He got his first ear infection last Friday the 12th. It made him really sick! He was lethargic, not eating, and sleeping most of the day. I took him in and sure enough his right ear was really full of fluid and infected. He got his first round of Amoxocillin which seemed to knock it out! The last few days he has been battling the tummy bug. He has had diarrhea and threw up last night. He hasn't been eating much at all. Today I changed him at 7:45 am and then again at 6:00pm and he was barely wet! He has drank about 14 ounces today of Soy formula. I decided to try it to see if he would drink more of it. He seems to really like the soy?? YUCK IT STINKS!! But hey whatever gets him to drink! I am going to go get him some Pedialite if he doesn't have a significant wet diaper in the next hour or so.
Chris has also started pulling himself up onto his knees while holding onto an object. He started this about 2 weeks ago. This week he has also started to pull himself to STANDING in his bed! I had to lower the mattress in his crib today to avoid any head first fall outs! haha LOL I am so not ready for this walking business! HA He is also learning cause and effect. He will softly bump his head on the wall and then look at me for a response. When I say "OUCH" he will smile and do it again. He also does this in the bathtub by bumping his head on the silver drain facing and by kicking the wall to make it thump really loud! It makes me laugh!!
For Christmas he is getting a new big boy car seat, a shopping cart cover, a walking toy, and other misc. little toys! HO HO HO MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Told Ya I Was Behind~

Here are some pics of Halloween. It was kind of a bust this year! It was the first Halloween in awhile that I didn't have to work late and I was so excited. Elise was Dorothy The Dinosaur at school and Chris was a Bumble Bee. As you can see, Elise decided that for the evening fun she wanted to be The Little Mermaid (left over from Ally last year) and Allyson was a Princess Kitten! (also left over from 2 years ag0) haha LOL As for Chris the Bumble Bee costume was big and hot and quite frankly he didn't care to much for it. We decided he was cute enough to go as himself! haha

We started out by trick or treating around our block kinda early. There was only one house that looked like it was "available" to T or T at. Then we all loaded up and headed to the civic center for "Trunk or Treat" that was hosted by a baptist church in town. THAT WAS A JOKE!! There were SO MANY PEOPLE packed into that place that you could barely get in the exhibit hall where all of the festivities were. After being there for about 5 minutes and Dana getting cursed out by some guy because he accidentally hit his foot with our big ole stroller, we got out of there AS FAST AS WE COULD!! We loaded up and drove by another church that was having a carnival. There were lots of cars in the parking lot and it only had about 30 minutes until it closed. We decided it would be tooo much for just 30 min. We headed for my mom's neighborhood where we actually know more people that in out own neighborhood. There were only about 4 houses with lights on and doors open to T or T at. We hit those houses and called it a night! We were all tired and my stomach felt really yucky!! We were kinda let down but then decided it was fun just getting to be with each other and having fun with each other!!

Here is Chris and his teacher at school.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving! As usual I am way behind on my blog. The days are so filled with work, the kids, girl scouts, work, PTA, oh and did I mention work? haha Anyway I feel like I don't have enough time in the day! But I am very thankful for all of it! There is not one thing I would change. I am so thankful for my babies, my family, my job, etc.. I always remember this whenever the days are long and stressful, but this time of year I make it top priority to stop and remember all of my blessings! I think I will start this update with Ally. She is about to be 7 years old on Dec. 10th! She is growing up soo fast. My BABY is going to be 7! Where did the time go? She is doing really good in school. She is like a sponge! All she has to do is hear something once and she has it memorized forever! She is in an accelerated reading group at school because she is reading so well! Her teacher says she has an amazing vocabulary and is reading really well! She is also doing really well with math although she still writes some of her letters and numbers backwards. The teacher says this is perfectly normal and that she is doing better and better with this each day.
Ally is also a daisy Girls Scout.

She is in a troop with about 15 other girls. At first she had a really hard time because she is as shy as her mama. Some of the girls started in the troop in the middle of last school year and were already friends. She was one of the newcomers. I understand where she is coming from because even the group of parents there has been hard for me to "fit" in to! She has now made lots of friends and has been in the Harvest Festival Parade, sold nuts, and has volunteered at the food bank as part of her community service actions.
She seems like she is having lots of fun and she is very proud of being a "Daisy."
Ally is an amazing artist. She loves to draw and is very good at it! She loves to draw herself as a princess and her favorite little boy named Matthew as the prince. She also likes to draw flowers and nature. One thing I notice about her drawings is that they always have smiles on them! She is my happy, lovable, always aiming to please sweet baby girl. Last but not least, we had to go back to the Dr. on Monday because Ally asked me what would happen if her tonsils got so big that they grew out of her mouth. I knew then and there her throat hurt. When I asked her she said no but then finally admitted that they did. Well 36 hours, one throw up, and a fever later she was diagnosed with Strep for the 6th time since last Dec. Here we come Ear, Nose, and Throat Dr. Hopefully the amoxocillin will clear it all up!

Rub-A-Dub-Dub, There Is A Boy In My Tub!!

The other day while I was giving Chris a bath in his blue "baby bath tub" he rolled over in it and sat straight up. To make a long story short this particular bath was rather difficult what with all of the rolling around! So for his last bath, I decided to let him have free roam of the big bath tub! HE LOVED IT! I had to get some video footage of it because I laughed so hard at how much fun he had. It is moments like these that you will never forget! He reminded me of a little frog swimming around in the water! haha So much for the baby tub...I think it is now history!! What do you think? Do we have the next olympic swimmer in the making??

Chris Roy Run Down

Just wanted to give an update on baby Chris. Man, he has started doing so much in the last 3 weeks! Oh, and let me tell ya this kid can eat! He has a 6 oz bottle around 7:30am, cereal and fruit about 9:00, another 6 oz bottle about 10:30, 1 jar of vegetables at lunch, another 6 oz bottle about 2:30, 1/2 a jar of veggies and cereal at dinner along with a 6 oz bottle, and for a night cap he has yet another 6 oz bottle about 8:00pm. No wonder his car seat carrier is getting so darn heavy!! He is officially enrolled in the Early Childhood Intervention (ECI) program. The Occupational Therapist said that we wasn't far behind but she would like to see him use his muscles a little bit more. She is going to start seeing him every other week starting today. Of course Chris is now standing on his legs (rather well in fact) as well as trying to sit up on his own. I'm afraid I am wasting ECI's time?? We had his 7 mo. pics done on Thursday and the photographer asked if her could sit up for a few shots. I told her no that he could only sit if I help him. Well he made me the biggest liar out of me!! We got him on the floor and after finding his center of balance, that crazy kid sat ALONE for a good 2 minutes!! He is rolling all over the house and even pushing himself up on his arms and getting his knees under him like he is about to take off crawling! I have to really watch out because if something is hanging down off of the coffee table or end table like keys or a table cloth, he can reach up and grab it! He is getting into Ally's crayons as we speak... Get ready... the fun (and baby proofing) is about to begin!!

First Day Of First Grade

Well my baby has officially started the 1st Grade. She started on August 25th and she absolutely LOVES it! She was so excited to get up that morning. I walked in the room and she jumped up ready to go! Of course now that it is Oct. 2nd and she has almost 6 weeks under her belt, it is getting harder and harder for all of us to get up every morning. haha Ally has a great teacher who is wonderful with the kiddos. On the first day she was much more confident and not as shy as the first day of Kindergarten. She has 3 kiddos from her Kindergarten class in her 1st grade class this year and one of them is a little girl who she is pretty good friends with. That helped a lot. Her 2 "best" friends are in a different class together. She wasn't really happy about that but has decided that it is OK because she is going to invite them to her birthday party. She was very proud to show off Chris to all of her new friends. I did really well until I saw on the board that she gets to make a lunch choice this year and then the tears hit when I realized that this is now "real" school. She is officially a big girl! It seems like just yesterday that I was in 1st grade! So yes, mommy cried!! She is reading really well and has started doing spelling tests. She has made a 105 on the 2 tests she has already had. She has a homework folder that has homework that she has to do every night and a parent has to sign it ever night. Wednesday is really hard to get homework done because we have church all day long! By the time I get home we have 15 or so minutes and then we have to get back to the church. We usually have to play catch up on Thursday. She also has a Monday folder that the school sends home with her discipline grade for the week, memos, and requests for money (HAHA) in it. It also has to be signed and returned on Tuesday. So far this has been a great school year. I just pray it keeps going as well as it has been! There is this one little girl that gives her a hard time. We have talked about it and I told her that she just acts that way to get attention. Ally said 'Oh that's kinda sad." Here comes the tough lessons in life I'm afraid!!

Summer Comes To An End!

Well I can think of a few more things that happened this summer that I want to blog about. I found a few more pics that reminded me of them so here is the run down...

1. I had a garage sale the first part of August. The sale was a dud because of the fact that we live in a very low traffic area in our neighborhood. Ally decided that she wanted to have a lemonade and hot dog stand that day. We agreed that 1/2 of what she earned would go to the Ronald McDonald house. She earned $14.00 that day! (She made almost more than I did!!) Her and her sister had a GREAT time selling these yummy goodies! We even ate a hot dog or 2! LOL Gee gee and Papa of course had to stop by to purchase some lunch! Later that week we went to Target so that both of the girls could pick out a toy. They both bought a My Little Pony play set!! Our church is going on a field trip to the Ronald McDonald House on Oct. 1 and Ally is going to give her $7.00 to them at this time. She is very proud of herself!!

2. Finally after MONTHS of trying, Ally can blow a bubble with bubble gum. She mastered it! Now anytime she can get her hands on some gum she blows and pops bubbles non stop! Let me tell ya she can make some of the loudest pops with that gum! She has actually startled me while I was driving because she popped it so loud! She is so funny, she thinks that the more gum you chew the bigger bubble you can blow. We went to a birthday party last weekend and she got several pieces of bubble gum. When I looked over at her she looked like a chipmunk! She said she had 6 pieces of gum in her mouth! LOL It didn't take her long to get tired of chewing and to spit it in the trash!! She makes me laugh so hard!

Ouch...Again!

OUCH! Well Chris had his 6 month check up and Elise had her 3 year old check up. Everything was great with Chris. He got all of his shots (including a flu shot) except one that they were out of. We have have to go back next month for this vaccine and another flu shot. He weighed 17 pounds 4 ounces and was 27 inches long. When I went to show the Dr. about the concerns we had about him not bearing weight on his legs, that little stinker stood semi-upright on his little legs and just smiled at all of us! The doctor laughed and said well look at that, I don't see any concerns! See I told ya lazy babe!! E.C.I. still came out anyway to do the intake interview with us. Get this, she told me that Chris was in the 90th percentile for his height and only the 30th for his weight. She said he could stand to gain a few pounds. WHAT?? Have they picked this child up?? He is solid!! I know it is just because they don't understand that babies in this family just grow long and thin! The Dr. wasn't worried about his growth at all. He said he is growing at a steady pace SO I'm not concerned, I just thought it was kinda funny! LOL Poor Elise didn't want to go for her check up. I reassured her that the Dr. was just going to look at her. I told her no shots today. GUESS WHAT?? Yep she got a flu shot and a Hep. A shot. She may never trust my word again! She was a trooper and only cried a little. Of course after the appt. we went to play at the indoor play place at Mcdonalds and she had to tell everyone about her battle wounds! She weighed 35 pounds and was 39.5 inches tall. She is my average sized child, 50th percentile for both height and weight. I am so thankful and blessed. I thank God everyday for my healthy babies!! Thank you God!!

Time, Nothing But Time...

WOW, I am so behind on my blog! The days are filled with things to blog about but since I have been basically doing 4 jobs in one at work, I haven't had much time to keep up!! Let's see where do I start...Chris is now 6 months old! CRAZY...Where does the time go?? He can roll over from front to back and back to front, in fact he rolls all over the place! He starts at one end of the living room and can eventually roll to the other side of the room! It only took him a few days to master this move! He started rolling over a week or so after he turned 5 months old! He is still eating 24-30 oz of formula. He has now had a variety of baby food to try. He really likes sweet potatoes, peas, applesauce, squash, carrots, prunes, Oh wait... he likes anything that will go in his mouth! ha ha The only food we have had trouble with is green beans. He will eat them with a weird look on his face but then he spits up several times after he eats them. I've decided to hold off on the green avengers for right now! He doesn't spit up any of the other food?? Just the green beans?? Chis actually likes to drink water! I gave him a little in a sippy cup and he actually held the cup on his own and drank the water! Neither one of the girls would drink water no matter how hard you tried! He will drink 2 or 3 ounces of water out of his bottle! I keep a water bottle around so that he can have sips here and there throughout the day! We might even have a water drinker in the family! This would be a new thing! ha ha We go to the doctor today for our 6 month shots and check up! YUCK!! We are also going to have the Dr. check out his little legs. Chris is still having a hard time putting weight on his legs. When you try to get him to stand on them he just folds them up like little frog legs. My mom has been kind of concerned about this for a few months. We will see what the Dr. says today. I also have Early Childhood Intervention (E.C.I) coming out to evaluate him on Tuesday at Noon. I really don't think anything is wrong. I just think he is a lazy babe but I would rather be safe than sorry!! He loves his Jump-A-Roo! Chis can get that thing hopping! He jumps and laughs endlessly when I put him in it! Just called the Dr. and his appt. is at 9:30 so I better get off and get the kiddos ready to go! I will update on Ally and Elise later today! Crazy girls!! Wish us luck!!

All I Want For Christmas Is My Two Front Teeth!

This summer Ally has lost 4 teeth. She lost her two top teeth which is in this blog a few posts back. She also lost 2 more on the bottom. This makes a grand total of 6 baby teeth that are now M.I.A. It is so cute, when she smiles she has no teeth in the front! She loves to get a straw, put it in the empty spaces and show off how she can drink with her teeth, She also finds it amusing to get a drink of water and "spit" the water through the gaps into the sink! haha She is such a crazy sweet girl! She makes me belly laugh on a daily basis! Ally scored big from the tooth fairy! A buck a tooth! I remember only getting a quarter for mine! CAN YOU SAY INFLATION!! She has been saving her money and proudly displays it to anyone who will look at it! haha She was saving for a new Nintendo DS game. Those suckers cost a lot of money!!

You Spin Me Right Round Baby...

Dana and I took the girls to a local amusement park on August 1st. The church that I work at hosted VBS on Aug 2nd at the church from 9:00am until 4:00 pm. The trip to the park was the kick off party that took place the night before. All of the church was invited to go at a discounted rate. The kids got in free and Dana and I had to pay $24.00 for both of us to get in and ride the rides with the girls (mom babysat Chris). Elise was the little dare devil! She liked the tilt a whirl and the kid sized roller coaster the best. Ally is a little like her momma. She likes the slower rides that go in at least a semi straight line. I'm the one who got so nauseated after the second ride on the "tilt a hurl" and a final ride on the scrambler, had to go home and take a phenagran that I had left over from being pregnant!! We had a great time! We rode lots of rides, had nachos, and lots of laughs!! The girls had a great time!!

Hold my bottle baby!!

Chris is finally starting to hold his own bottle. He started this within the past 2 weeks. He just turned 5 months old on Aug. 8th. The bottles are still a little heavy for him because they are the 9 oz bottles so I still have to put a blanket under the bottle to help support it. I still like to hold and snuggle with him while I feed him whenever possible. He is so snugly and sweet. He still tries to hold the bottle a little bit while he is in your arms but not as much as when he is alone in his rocking seat. I guess he figures he will take advantage of the extra arms when he can! haha

Oatmeal, Barley, Bananas, and Prunes! Yummy

As of today Chris is now eating Oatmeal with Bananas, Barley, and Rice cereal. He really likes all of the cereals but seems to like the Oats and Barley best. When it was time to try Oatmeal I had a box of Gerber Oatmeal with Banana Flakes mixed in with it. Elise still likes to eat baby Oatmeal from time to time so it was a fairly new box. I decided instead of buying a new one I would just let Chris eat that. He loved it and had no problems with the hidden monkey food! haha Now that we have Chris on 100% formula he is having a little bit of constipation problems. Everyone told me to put a little corn syrup in his bottle but I figured prunes would be better for him. I bought 4 little jars of prunes and Chris has decided that they aren't to bad. Not only is it a yummy treat it also fixes the ummmm... poop troubles as well! haha I tried to not give the prunes to him for a couple of days to see if they were really working or if it was just a matter of timing but sure enough he started to get constipated again. Good thing he likes the prunes!! LOL He eats 2 Tbs.cereal and or 1/3 jar prunes once or twice a day and drinks 24-30 oz of formula a day.

Cry Baby Cry!!

Poor Chris had to get his 4 month shots on July 21st. Since we had Chris on a weekend, we were not able to get the birth certificate signed until the next week. This meant having to load everyone up and go back up to the hospital to sign a piece of paper. Well with all of the commotion of a new baby, work, and me being sick from my not yet discovered Staph infection, we didn't get back to the hospital to sign the paperwork for a few weeks after Chris's birth. This put us behind on getting his Social Security card. It took them forever to get it to us!! Well long story shot, Dana's insurance denied us coverage on Chris because we did not submit the request within 30 days of his birth. So as of now we have no insurance on Chris until open enrollment which is September. For the first round of shots I took Chris to his Pediatrician because I was worried about him getting the Staph infection from me. Well $150.00 dollars later we had shots and a clean bill of health. This time around I didn't have this kind of money so I took him to the children's clinic at Covenant. It was on a walk in basis and I was able to get all of his 4 month shots for $5.00. Poor baby just cried for a few seconds and then flashed that angelic smile he always has. He did fine for the first 24 hours but then ran a fever of 102.0 for about 14 hours. Boo! Nothing a little Tylenol and rest couldn't handle. We didn't have a well check so we didn't get a height or weight but I think he weighs about 15 pounds now! My big boy!!

Rice Cereal!

I started Chris on Rice Cereal on July 7th. He is now taking about 30 oz. of formula and eating cereal once a day. At first he was not crazy about the cereal. He made horrible faces and had a hard time getting it down. Elise liked cereal from the first bite and could not get enough so feeding an unsure Christopher was a new challange! I was just going to give up and wait a few more weeks. My Mom told me to just give it time and to at least try the cereal once a day to get him familiar with the idea of eating solids. Well sure enough, (Mom's are always right), it is now July 23rd and he loves his cereal! It just clicked one day and he decided he liked the cereal idea! I am still just feeding it to him once a day. I give him 1-2 Tbs and I am trying to get him down to 4 bottles (24oz) of formula a day so that way we can add more solids little by little. He is doing really well on his new feeding routine and sleeping great! He is ready for bed by 10:00-10:30pm and he will sleep until 8:00-9:00am! Next week we are going to try Oatmeal! YUMMY!!

Jump Baby Jump!!

When I had Ally I got one of those ExerSaucers for a baby gift. It has been great, both Ally and Leesey used it on a regular basis and is now being used at the PDO. I was going to take the ExerSaucer home for Chris when he was ready but then I saw the Jumperoo! It is one of those jumpers that you don't have to hang in a doorway. It hangs from 3 posts mounted on a circle frame. The jumper also has light up toys and sounds all around the seat. I looked at Toys R Us and Target and decided that they cost way to much to only be used for a few months. They are about $80.00 and since Chris is the last baby I decided to just use the ole ExerSaucer one more time. Well on www.everythinglubbock.com they have a free classifieds section. I looked in the baby needs/gear section and I found a Jumperoo for $35.00! YESSSSS! I was so excited. It had been used for about 5 months for a little girl who had outgrown it. It was very clean and in great shape. It even had new batteries in it! Chris is still a little unsure of it. I put him in there every now and then and he is getting a little more familiar and comfortable with it! haha I LOVE BARGAINS!!

The Elbow Bone Is Connected To The Arm Bone??

So my Dad (aka PaPa) came over to visit the kids on July 3rd. He has always been the fun Dad/PaPa that likes to play and wrestle and get the kids all stirred up into a friendzie. On this particular night he has playing "What Are You Going To Do Now?" where he grabs an appendage and holds it down so you can't move saying the above preceding phrase. My dad had both of the girls hands' and put them under his knees. Both girls were laughing and giggling trying to free themselves when all of a sudden Elise yanks her arm in a final attempt to get free. This is followed by an immediate cry of pain. Elise is not the type to cry over any little bump or bruise. When she cries you know she is hurt!! We soon noticed that she would not move her arm and said her wrist and elbow hurt. We decided that it wasn't broken because Dana could get the wrist to move with a little manipulation, Elise just could not move her arm on her own. Now after working with kids for 12 years and having the experience of a sweet 3 year old little boy at a day care I worked at throwing himself on the ground while I was holding his hand because he didn't want his diaper changed, I decided that she has dislocated her elbow. So Dana loads her up and takes her to the ER. I stayed behind to give Chris a bottle and to calm my very distraught Dad. He felt so bad and I felt really bad for him. It was just an innocent accident after all. A few minutes later I met Dana at the ER. They took us back and a doctor comes in and asks Elise to hold a toung depressor with her good arm. She quickly grabs it but refuses to do the same with the other arm. He says Uhhh-Huhhh in that Dr. tone of voice, picks up her arm, and mashes around a bit. About the time she starts to cry saying OUCH OUCH OUCH, he has it popped back into place. They call this Nurse Maid's Elbow. The Dr. then gives her what I am sure is a $2,100.00 dose of Ibuprophan and she is all back to her normal ornery self within minutes! She now has another (see my MySpace blog about the 1st) great ER story to tell to anyone who will listen!! haha

Lions, Tigers, and Bears

On June 27th we went to The Science Spectrum for "Critter Fest." It was sooooo hot! It was one of the days when it was close to 100 degrees. We had the baby with us so we didn't see much of the outside exhibit. The inside displays included chimpanzees, dog training facilities, snakes. etc... The coolest thing was the "Big Cat Show." We walked in not expecting much but they had a circus style big ring set up with a huge metal fence and barriers around it. They had small metal bleachers around the entire ring about 12 feet away for people to sit on. They also allowed any kiddos and parents who were interested to sit on the floor right next to the ring for a very up close seat. Of course this is where Elise wanted to sit. Ally sat in the comfort of the further away bleachers with me, Chris, and Gee-Gee. When they brought out the 4 or 5 tigers to do their show I thought Elise would be terrified. NOPE!! SHE LOVED IT! She literally got to sit just a few inches away from a Siberian Tiger. She was mesmerized by the show and didn't want to leave. It was an awesome show and such a memorable experience for her!!! I liked the chimp who tried to unzip his caretaker's pants in front of 4 or 5 people. He caught me laughing at him and turned a little red! haha

Boo-Boos

Here I am a day late and a dollar short on my blog. This summer continues to fly by way to fast. Only 6 weeks left! Let's go back to June 20th. Elise was playing outside on the swing set while Ally and I were collecting ants for an ant farm. Elise was swinging and decided she wanted off to see what we were up to. Now Leesey has perfected the getting herself swinging part, but lacks the stopping skills. She tried to stop but ended up flying off of the swing, landing on her bottom. All was OK until the swing came back and hit her in the mouth. She had a huge swollen lip that was bleeding and it even knocked 2 teeth in the front a little loose (don't worry, they tightened back up) Well after we got her calmed down and the bleeding under control, she insisted that she have a band-aid for her lip. All I had were "duct tape" band-aids made by a real bandage co. (Don't ask my why you would want a band-aid that looks like duct tape, but hey they were free with a rebate??) Well I tried to tell Elise that you could not put a band-aid on your lip but she insisted so I gave her the band-aid and this is how it ended up (please excuse the little naked body in the background Ally had just gotten out of the bath haha)...
She wore it like that for a good 2-3 hours. haha It made me laugh!!

Summer Dreams...

Sorry it has been awhile since I have added anything new. This summer is going by waaaaay to fast! There have been some fun things happening within out crazy family in the past few days let me see where to start... Well Chris found his feet and his hands. That has been really cute to watch. He first discovered them on May 26th. I was up until about 2:00am working on graduation stuff for the CDC. When I laid down on the couch to go to sleep Mr. Manly woke up and discovered the joy of having feet. He grabbed them and talked to them for a good 30 minutes before returning to sleep. I could not help but to watch and laugh! I love our late night/early morning conversations! He kinda forgot about them for a few days but has re-discovered them in the past few days! He has also learned how to hold a toy on his toy bar in his hands and actually get it to his mouth. That has been a new development within the last 2-3 days. I LOVE IT!! Here are some pics...

Allyson lost her two top teeth this week. She lost the left one on Thursday 6/19/08. She was eating a popsicle and it popped out. They have been loose for about 9 mo. now but she refused to wiggle or touch them so it took forever for them to fall out! Today at church 6/22/08, Ally and a little boy were playing around and he accidental bumped into her mouth and you guessed it, the other top tooth came out! She was screaming because she was so excited! When the first one came out she was shaking partly because of terror and partly because if excitement I think. She is not a big fan of blood so when she saw the blood she kept saying, "It's good Blood" haha

Way Behind!!!

See I told ya I'm not great at keeping up with blogging! haha Well let's see there has been lots of goings on since the last time I blogged. To begin with my great and wonderfully painful staph infection flared up again a little over 2 weeks ago. (damn it hurts!!) I just finished up my second round of antibiotics this past Sunday. Please pray that the infection is gone this time. And of course I keep reading about babies who have died because of the MRSA Staph. So now I am about half scared to give Chris my milk because I don't want to hurt him!! This leads me to my next event...I took Chris to the Dr. on Tuesday 5/20 for his shots and well baby check-up. He is doing great! He weighed 12 pounds and is 24.5 inches long!! This seems really big to me but he is in the 50th percentile for both which means he is average. Dr. Scott said he was not worried about the staph infection and encouraged me to go ahead and keep giving him mama milk, but still I am kinda worried about it! This is such a new super bug that I wonder if enough research has been done on mothers infecting babies via breast milk?? So I have been giving him Lactose free formula the majority of the time. We found out the hard way during the first round of antibiotics that Mr. Manly must have lactose free milk or he will continuously projectile vomit on you!!! haha LOL I also discovered that Target store carries their brand of formulas for almost half the price of Enfamil and Similac. We are talking $25.69 vs. $13.69 for a 25.7 ounce can! I was stoked to find this deal!! They even have a lactose free version!! HOORAY!
On Sat. 5/24 we took Chris to JC Penny to get his first professional pics done! He was such a flirt! He smiled so big for the girl taking his pic! We got so many really cute photos!! I posted a few of them. He is such an easy going kid!

On Sunday we went to Matador to see D.R.'s family for Memorial Day. We had a great time! Got some great pictures with Great Nanny who is 85 with the kiddos. She is such an amazing lady!! Elise rode all over with her Grandad on the tractor. She loves hangin with her Grandad. She told me that they got stuck, she cried, and then Grandad let he get a drink outside! Chris even got to try out the Bumbo chair. He sat right in the middle of the kitchen table after we ate breakfast. haha Very Cute!!

The highlight of my week had to be when Elise asked Great Nanny if she had milked the cows yet (because they raise cattle). Nanny said no we raise those cows for meat not milk. Elise replied "Nah un, they do give us milk cause I saw those bobo's" haha meaning she saw the udders and assumed all udders give us milk!! haha LOL It made me laugh so hard!
Well that's the update on my crazy life! Ally's last day of kindergarten was yesterday. She isn't to sad which surprised me. (I kinda am, my baby's in first grade now) She is ready for summer and swimming! ME TOOOO!!!

YUCK!!!

Allyson had to go to the Doctor on Thursday because she has Strep Throat for the 5th or 6th time since December. As a last ditch effort to clear up the strep before we have to get her tonsils removed this summer, the Dr. put her on a horrible antibiotic called Clindamycin. The liquid version smells like baby poopy diapers. YUCK! I can only imagine how it tastes! Well after 3 times of throwing up the first and only dose of the liquid I called the DR. to get a scrip for the pills you have to swallow. Ally, poor baby, could not swallow them so we tried breaking them apart and putting them in Kool-Aid, yogurt, sugar, and applesauce. Each time ended up in her throwing up! YUCK!! So finally I gave up at midnight Friday morning. Later that day after very little sleep, she stayed home from school with my mom. After a few threats (haha) she found a way to get Ally to take this horrible medicine. She mixed the powder from the capsule in a little bit Kraft Pimento Spread and gave it to her on her finger. (I guess the finger made it a little better?????) Anyway she takes a bite and chases it with water. This is followed by quivers and gags but she eventually gets it all down. She is finally feeling better. I just hope it clears the strep up!!!

This Is How We Do!!

Ok I am going to give this blogging thing a try! I'm not really good about keeping up with these kind of things. A friend of mine who has a little boy at the PDO has an amazing blog that I love to read! I love to watch her little boy grow throughout her blogs! Here is a little bit about me...well us... I just turned 30 in March AND had a new baby boy. His name is Christopher Roy. He joins this crazy family along with his 2 sisters Allyson (Ally) who is 6 and Elise (Leesey or LuLu) who is 3. Chris is such an easy going baby! He only cries when he is ready to eat or needs to take a nap! I am breastfeeding, Ok well I am feeding breastmilk. Due to a very slow let down and a MRSA staph infection in both breasts (boobs) sorry Stacy (probably picked up from the hospital) that was diagnosed April 21st, it has just been easier to pump and put it in a bottle for him. I usually pump 3 or 4 times a day. I find it much more enjoyable to play on the computer while I pump! It makes the grueling 30-45 minutes go much faster so hopefully I can blog some during this time!! Right now Chris takes about 5 ounces every 3-4 hours. He is sleeping from around 10:30pm until 6:00am. Whewww, no more 2:00 and 5:00 feedings!! I need my sleep!! I started back to work in mid-April which has gone really for the most part. We had some inside drama but I think that is kinda normal for a bunch of girls working together! We become a lot like sisters! My mom is keeping Chris for the rest of the school year so he dosen't get any unnecessary germs. Thank heavens for Gee-Gee's! It has been really hard to leave him. I miss him like crazy during the day. I took some black and white pics this afternoon of the girls giving him a bath and the finished product, a clean baby!
